some best-seller-y good news

In the midst of all this bad publishing news, I am celebrating every good thing to the hilt… So I am thrilled that Jim Butcher’s Princeps’ Fury (Codex Alera, Book 5) is on the New York Times bestseller list and the USA Today bestseller list. The paperback of Captain’s Fury (Codex Alera, Book 4) is also on the NYT extended list. Thanks to everyone who rushed out and bought a copy in this crazy holiday season! And congratulations to Jim!

  7. Just so you know, there’s a big Jim Butcher fan in my family and he wouldn’t have known the book was out (he’s in his first quarter at college–nose to the text book and all that) except that his mum reads your blog. We braved the post turkey malls to get find a copy. Congrats to Jim Butcher! And thanks to him (and you) for making my boy’s holiday so pleasantly relaxing.

  8. Great news, Jennifer (and Jim). Having been reading the daunting PW and WBN newsletters, it’s lovely to see something positive!

  9. Hurrah for Jim! Good news is always welcome.

  10. Oh, yes! I made a big display of the new MM and all the previous ones and then added the hardcover when it came out. I haven’t had a chance to read the new one yet, but am looking forward to it. Both book are doing really well at my store.

  11. I just read Princep’s Fury yesterday. It definitely deserves its spot on the best seller list.
