Happy New Year

So, who made a New Year’s resolution to get out that query letter? Or to finish that first novel? (I can tell from the state of my inbox that it was a resolution for many last year and some got in just under the wire…)

I made some very cheeky resolutions last year. Though I think I accidentally ended up actually accomplishing one of them. Guess I’ll have to try harder this year.

I was going to try to come up with some new ones, but I was too busy over my holiday “break” reading manuscripts (and books) and changing the design on my website (working on more content). And eating (though the resolution I made to gain 10 pounds was offset by the fact that I first lost about 15 last summer).

ETA: Now I’ve got some content on to the front page of my newly updated official site. Also, there is a newsfeed on livejournal at http://syndicated.livejournal.com/jjackson_agent/profile for items of interest that I will put on there.

The new site looks fantastic! And “drinking more” is cheeky? Guess I ought to cross that off my list…

  4. So, who made a New Year’s resolution to get out that query letter?
    Well, since you asked…
I don’t go in for “resolutions” per se, but I do expect to be sending you a query letter before the end of February.
    Please be gentle. 🙂

  5. Beautiful website design!

  6. Barricade you transom, 2008 has rolled in and the writers are coming!
(The writers are coming! The writers are coming!)

  7. This is a great, easy to read design.

  8. Which resolution did you accidentally accomplish?

  9. Happy New Year to you too, Jennifer. I don’t make resolutions any more because I don’t keep them. In 2008, I’d like an agent and a book deal. Just those two small things…lol! :*)

  10. Be careful what you wish for!
Your website redesign looks good. And I thought I’d be cheeky and ask if you were accepting submissions from new authors…and you are. Guess the joke’s on me. Ah well!
Still wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year with lots of excitement-of the good kind! 😉
And if you need to gain weight…well I can suggest some nice recipes depending on what you like to eat!
